This presentation provides voting information by age group for the recent midterm and presidential elections. Providing insight about who votes and the method use to cast a ballot is critical to understanding voters behavior and enhancing stakeholders and the general public’s understanding of the electorate.
The information in this presentation is based on official voting records. Voter data is public information. However, the voting data exists in a raw format. The charts and tables in this presentation were created by sorting and calculating the raw voting data.
It should be noted that because some voting data does not provides the complete date of birth, the age groupings are based on birthyear. For this reason, the percentages for each age group are not one-hundred percent accurate. However, the percentages provided in this presentation are very strong approximations.
