2012 Reg. Voters vs Voters by Generations

Analyses of the charts above found the following about the various common generational grouping of voters in Harris County, Texas in relation to voter registration and participation in the 2012 November Election:

-The Millennials (1983-1994) constituted 19 percent of the registered voters and 15 percent of the voters. Their overall voter participation rate was 44.3 percent.

-The Generation X (1965-1982) constituted 33 percent of the registered voters and 31 percent of the voters. Their voter participation rate was 56.0 percent.

-The Baby Boomers (1946- 1964) constituted 34 percent of the registered voters and 39 percent of the voters. Their voter participation rate was 69.0 percent.

-The Lucky Few (1929-1945) constituted 11 percent of the registered voters and 13 percent of the voters. Their voter participation rate was 73.0 percent.

-The Hard Timers (1900-1928) constituted 3 percent of the registered voters and 2 percent of the voters. Their voter participation rate was 48.3 percent.
